Who is responsible
Oru is a project by Nestor Peña. For any question about your data, write to hola@orudance.com.
What data we process
- If you use Oru without an account: none on our servers.
- If you sign in with Google or with an email link: your email (and, with Google, your name, which Google gives us); your sign-up and last-visit dates; your plan (Free or Oru Pro) and the codes you redeem; and, if you have Oru Pro, your progress, so it follows you on all your devices.
- For your security: your open sessions and the sign-in links you ask for (we keep only an encrypted fingerprint of each; links expire after 15 minutes) and the browser you signed in from.
Why, and on what basis
We do not sell your data, show no ads and use no third-party tracking or analytics.
- To give you your account, your plan and your progress: necessary to provide the service you ask for.
- To prevent abuse (for example, limiting code attempts): legitimate interest in protecting the service.
- To send you one email when Oru Pro goes on sale, only if you join the waitlist (your consent). You can leave the list in Your account at any time.
Where it is kept and who sees it
Account data is kept in a Cloudflare database located in the European Union. The site and the emails (sign-in links, the waitlist notice) are served by Cloudflare, and Google provides the Google sign-in; both act as processors. Only the person responsible for Oru can open the users dashboard.
How long
As long as you have an account. Sessions expire after 60 days. When you delete your account, your account, saved progress, sessions and redemptions are deleted at once.
Cookies and storage
We only use what is essential, so we do not ask for consent:
- oru_s: your session once signed in (60 days, not readable by the page).
- oru_in: tells the page you are signed in, so your progress is saved to your account (60 days).
- oru_oauth: lasts 10 minutes while you sign in with Google, to check the answer is yours.
- In your browser storage: your progress, where you left off and a few preferences. You can clear it from Your path or from your browser.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or take your data, or object to its use, by writing to hola@orudance.com. You can delete your account yourself in Your account. If you think we mishandle it, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (aepd.es) or your own.
Changes
If something important changes (for example, when payments open), we will update this page and the date above.
